DESCRIPTION:We are proud to be an authorized education provider for the Florida Certification Board’s Community Health Worker (CHW) program\, offering this course as a community benefit. \nTaught by qualified Registered Nurses\, this comprehensive 30-hour course features interactive learning sessions and hands-on application activities designed to prepare you for the vital roles and responsibilities of a Certified Community Health Worker. This cohort begins on October 3\, 2026 and classes range from 3.5 to 5 hours each on the following dates: Oct 3rd\, 10th\, 17th\, & 24th. Registration closes at midnight on September 5th. \nCareer Path & Requirements: \n\n\nRole: CHWs serve as trusted health and wellness advocates\, helping community members navigate and access vital healthcare services. \n\n\nOpportunities: Graduates are prepared for volunteer roles with public health organizations or employment in clinics\, medical offices\, insurance companies\, and government agencies. \n\n\nCertification – An Added Bonus: To take the CHW Certification exam\, candidates must complete 500 hours of paid or volunteer CHW work experience within five years.
